Fluency Refrain teaches you to say a phrase by saying it with a native voice, not after it. Speak in unison, match the rhythm, stress and melody, and keep going until the phrase comes up to full speed.
You may know it as shadowing. Chorusing is the same idea, without the lag.
Why chorusing
Speak after the voice and you’re working from memory, and the rhythm you remember is your own. Speak with it and there’s nothing to fill in. You follow the stress and melody as they happen.
Start at 0.75×, set the pause between reps, and let the counter keep track. When you can stay in unison at full speed, the phrase is yours.

Review brings each phrase back right before you’d forget it. You see the meaning, say the phrase aloud from memory, then reveal it and hear it.
Grade yourself Again, Hard, Good or Easy, and swipe back if you change your mind. The ones you miss come back sooner.
Your phrases
Chorus what you actually want to say: a line from a show, something a friend said, the sentence you fumbled yesterday. Type it, import a list, or ask for suggestions.
Idioms, proverbs and tongue-twisters come only from checked packs, each entry reviewed with its meaning and a published reference, in French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Greek. Refrain never invents an idiom.
